GREATKUP COFFEE started in 2020 with a simple vision, to bring the taste, warmth, and tradition of South Indian specialty coffee to Northeast Ohio, a place we have proudly called home for more than two decades.

We have come to love all four seasons here, and through every changing season, coffee has been a comforting companion, helping us embrace everything from Ohio’s cold winter mornings to warm summer afternoons.

What began with carefully sourced, freshly roasted coffee beans from India through Direct Trade, and making K Cups with that fresh coffee, gradually grew into something much more meaningful.

We realized we wanted to do more than simply roast great coffee. We wanted to share it, serve it fresh, and invite more people to discover the flavors, traditions, and coffee culture we grew up with.

As the world slowly began to heal from COVID in 2022, and with many precautions still in place, we took our first bold step into the community by joining the Geauga Farmers Market with a simple 10 × 10 tent. That little setup became the beginning of something much bigger.

Over the next several months, we poured our time, energy, and countless hours into building our own 5 × 8 coffee trailer. Eventually, that little trailer evolved into our EV coffee van, maybe the first EV Coffee Truck, taking GREATKUP COFFEE from a small tent at the market to a mobile coffee shop on the road.

Today, GREATKUP COFFEE is still a small, family run weekend operation, sometimes stretching into Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We enjoy keeping it personal and creating something the whole family can enjoy.

At the heart of everything we do is the same spirit we started with in 2020: coffee grown in South India, freshly roasted in Northeast Ohio, and a little taste of our heritage and coffee culture shared with our community.

From a small farmers market tent to an EV coffee truck, the journey has been about more than coffee. It has been about people, community, family, and sharing something we love.
